A topless 28-year-old man who locked himself inside an airplane’s bathroom probably didn’t expect the presence of authorities.

Cops responded to a disturbance call aboard an Alaska Airlines airplane before it departed Honolulu, Hawaii, for San Francisco. According to news outlet KITV, a man had gone to the restroom and refused to come out, prompting a chaotic moment between himself and authorities.

The incident was captured on video by Lindsay Babb, who was aboard Alaska Air flight 710 when the incident occurred.

The man reportedly came out of the airplane washroom topless and covered in an unknown liquid.

Babb told KITV the man appeared to be “soaking wet” and joked that he was taking a bath, to keep her two young daughters calm.

Cops then swarmed in an attempt to arrest him.

Babb said the man was kicking and shouting and fought with the armed police in the aisle and over multiple seats.

It took 20 minutes for the cops to subdue the suspect.

He was removed from the plane — about two hours after its scheduled departure time.

Thang Sang was charged with assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

In a statement, Alaska Airlines apologized, noting the “safety of our guests and crew is our top priority.”
